Payment, Refunds and Taxes
At Solido Designs, we take pride in the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of our products. Our attention to detail in design, material and construction is unyielding. And so is our commitment to customer satisfaction.
For horizontal garage doors, your order begins production immediately upon payment of your deposit and is built to your specifications. As every order we receive is a custom order, your order cannot be cancelled, changed, returned or refunded once the panel order has been placed with the factory which typically occurs within 24 hours after you have accepted our quote and payment has been received. A non-refundable 60% deposit will be taken when the order is placed.
Solido, Inc. supplies a horizontal garage door system only. Solido, Inc. does not take responsibility for incorrect installations of Solido, Inc. systems nor damage that occurred during the installation. It is up to the customer to ensure a quality individual is installing our systems.
If Customer receives damaged products; If damage is considerable please refuse the products upon original delivery attempt. If damaged products are accepted from the carrier, such damage should be noted on the carrier delivery record and photographs taken. Please save the all original packaging and notify Solido Designs immediately to arrange for a carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged products. Timely receipt of this information is necessary for Solido Designs to file a damage claim and replace damaged products.
We recommend you review the for the garage door panel you are purchasing prior to placing your order. The motor and hardware have a lifetime warranty however the warranty on the panels will vary.
Title/Risk of Loss
If Customer provides Solido Designs with Customer’s carrier account number or selects a carrier other than a carrier that regularly ships for Solido Designs, title to products and risk of loss or damage during shipment pass from Solido Designs to Customer upon shipment from Solido Designs’s facility (F.O.B. Origin, freight collect). For all other shipments, title to products and risk of loss or damage during shipment pass from Solido Designs to Customer upon receipt by Customer (F.O.B. Destination, freight prepaid and added). Customer should carefully inspect the products prior to acceptance and note any visible damage on the bill of lading and take photographs and forward all documentation to Solido Designs. Notwithstanding the foregoing, title of products will remain with the applicable licensor(s) and Customer’s rights therein are contained in the license agreement between such licensor(s) and Customer. Solido Designs retains a security interest in the products until payment in full is received.
We do accept returns on accessories that you purchased with your door. Upon return, your item will be inspected, and exchanges, credits and refunds will be issued for the purchase price only. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with state and local laws. Shipping charges are non-refundable with the exception of damaged or defective merchandise.
When returning an item, please pack your return securely. Retain your shipping receipt for your records.
Should you decide to cancel a return and keep the item after a refund was issued, we reserve the right to charge your credit card in the amount of the refund issued.
Accessories must be returned 100% complete. This includes manufacturers packing list: all manuals, blank warranty cards and accessories.
Please contact Solido Designs to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping product back to Solido Designs. This will expedite and help ensure the proper action or credit upon processing.
Customer is responsible for shipping charges to Solido Designs’s for all accessories being shipped back to Solido Designs. Accessories exchanged or replaced will be shipped by Solido Designs to Customer, at Solido Designs expense, using the same shipping method as was used by Customer to ship the original products back to Solido Designs. If the carrier selected by Customer is not used by Solido Designs, a comparable shipping method will be selected.
Customer is responsible for all risk of loss and damage to products being shipped back to Solido Designs. Please fully insure return shipment in case of loss or damage. Please use a carrier that is able to provide you with proof of delivery such as UPS, Federal Express or DHL. This is for your protection as well as to ensure quick action on your return.
Failure to return an accessory in accordance with the foregoing terms and within the applicable return period is deemed to be an acceptance of the product.
Solido Designs Pricing Policy
All prices online and or quoted via telephone or electronic means are in US dollars and are subject to any applicable taxes according to state, country, province and local laws. Availability, prices and delivery rates are subject to change. There may be errors in the prices, descriptions or images of certain merchandise, and we must reserve the right to restrict orders of those items.
Important Information Regarding Colorado Sales/Use Tax
Solido Designs does not collect Colorado sales or use tax. Your purchase from us is not exempt from Colorado sales or use tax merely because it is made over the Internet or by other remote means. The State of Colorado requires Colorado purchasers to (A) file a sales or use tax return reporting all purchases that are taxable in Colorado and for which no tax was collected by us and (B) pay tax on those purchases.
Important Information Regarding Kentucky Sales/Use Tax
Solido Designs is not required to and does not collect Kentucky sales or use tax. The purchase may be subject to Kentucky use tax unless the purchase is exempt from taxation in Kentucky. The purchase is not exempt merely because it is made over the Internet, by catalog, or by other remote means. The Commonwealth of Kentucky requires Kentucky purchasers to report all purchases of tangible personal property or digital property that are not taxed by us and pay use tax on those purchases unless exempt under Kentucky law. The tax may be reported and paid on the Kentucky individual income tax return or by filing a consumer use tax return with the Kentucky Department of Revenue. These forms and corresponding instructions may be found on the Kentucky Department of Revenue’s Internet website.
Important Information Regarding Louisiana Sales/Use Tax
Solido Designs does not collect Louisiana sales or use tax. Your purchase is subject to Louisiana use tax unless it is specifically exempt, and there is no exemption specifically based on the fact that a purchase is made over the internet, by catalog, or by other remote means. Louisiana law requires that use tax liability be paid annually on the Louisiana individual income tax return, or through other means as may be required by administrative rule by the secretary in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act.
Important Information Regarding Oklahoma Sales/Use Tax
Solido Designs is not required to collect and does not collect Oklahoma sales/use tax. Your purchase from us is subject to Oklahoma use tax unless it is specifically exempt from taxation. The purchase is not exempt merely because it is made over the Internet, by catalog, or by other remote means. The State of Oklahoma requires Oklahoma purchasers to report all purchases that were not taxed and pay tax on those purchases. The tax may be reported and paid on the Oklahoma individual income tax return [Form 511] or by filing a consumer use tax return [Form 21-1]. The referenced forms and corresponding instructions are available on the Oklahoma Tax Commission website, www.tax.ok.gov.
Important Information Regarding Rhode Island Sales/Use Tax
Rhode Island Sales & Use Tax Notice
Please be advised that pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws §§ 44-18-18 and 44-18-20, sales or use tax is due on taxable purchases made from Solido Designs. If tax was not paid at the time of purchase, the State of Rhode Island requires all customers who use, store, or otherwise consume taxable goods or services in Rhode Island to file a signed use tax return, Form T-205. This form is available on the Rhode Island Division of Taxation’s website (www.tax.ri.gov).
Form T-205 is due on or before the 20th day of each month following the month in which purchases are made, and must be accompanied by a remittance for the amount due. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the Tax Administrator.

Important Information Regarding South Dakota Sales/Use Tax
Solido Designs is not required to collect and does not collect South Dakota sales/use tax. Your purchase from us is subject to state use tax unless it is specifically exempt from taxation. The purchase is not exempt merely because it is made over the Internet, by catalog, or by other remote means. The state requires each South Dakota purchaser to report any purchase that was not taxed and pay tax on the purchase. The tax may be reported and paid on the South Dakota use tax form. The use tax form and corresponding instructions are available on the South Dakota Department of Revenue website.
Important Information Regarding Vermont Sales/Use Tax
Vermont law requires Solido Designs to notify you that sales or use tax is due on nonexempt purchases made from our company, and the State of Vermont requires a Vermont purchaser to pay the tax due on his or her tax return.
Important Information Regarding Washington Sales/Use Tax
Sales or use tax is due on certain purchases; Washington requires the purchaser to file a use tax return; and this notice is provided under the requirements of Sec. 205 of RCW chapter 82.08.
Neither sales nor use tax is being collected or paid upon the sale; you may be required to pay sales or use tax directly to the department; and you may contact the Washington State Department of Revenue at 800-647-7706 regarding whether and how to remit the sales or use tax to the department.
An additional charge will be applied to your order confirmation noting all applicable combined federal and provincial sales tax rates based upon the location to which the order is being shipped. All provinces except Ontario, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland have 5% GST (Goods & Services Tax) added to all orders.
The following provinces have PST (Provincial Sales Tax) added to all orders: British Columbia (7%), Saskatchewan (5% PST) and Manitoba (8% PST). Ontario, New Brunswick and Newfoundland have 13% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) added to all orders. Prince Edward Island has 14% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) added to all orders. Nova Scotia has 15% HST (Harmonized Sales Tax) added to all orders. Quebec has 9.975% QST (Quebec Sales Tax) added to all orders. These applicable tax rates are subject to change.
For the Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Vancouver metropolitan areas, allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. For other metropolitan areas, allow 3-4 weeks for delivery.
